Established in 1936, Salamtex has been recognized as the leading manufacturer of lace fabrics in the Middle East and North Africa with an international client base spanning over 15 countries.
Salamtex has an ever-expanding product range of specialty textiles serving the intimate apparel industry, as well as the medical sector. The company has world-class capabilities of draughting, designing, warping, knitting, dyeing, finishing, flocking, coating, shearing, carbon fishing, scalloping and packing.
Over more than 30 years, Salamtex has expanded into a variety of fields, and established its first dye-house specialized in the lightweight, elastic and technical synthetic fabrics, with a capacity of 120 tons/month. Moreover, it has its own quality, dye lab, and microbiological lab to comply with international standards.
The company’s investments in technology, innovation and producing in accordance with the world’s highest standards has made Salamtex a trusted source of technical lace production and dyeing for brands such as Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Under Armour, Etam.
While offering its products for lingerie, sportswear, and outerwear under the brand name of Salamtex Lace; Salamtex also offers its protective textiles for the medical and military sector under the brand name of Guard.
As part of our mission to minimize our environmental impact, Salamtex Lace measures and calculated our carbon emissions every year in order to target methods to reduce it every year. We have a target of 5% reduction in kg/CO2/kg of sold fabric per year. Our carbon emissions for 2023 per kg of fabric were 5.059 kg
Egypt is a country with a Basin Physical Risk score of 3.49 (Per WWF), which is why we at Salamtex Lace are committed to reducing our water consumption each year through innovation and efficiency measures.
Salamtex is certified for the ISO 9001:2000, EMS 12001:2004 and the OHSAS 18001:2007. As per the products they are Oeko-Tex certified (Standard 100, Class II).

1936
Naguib Kamel Salam imported a winding machine for sewing thread and started his operation in El-Zaher district.
1978
Foundation of “Dentellina” factory based in El-Zeitoun district as the first factory producing Lace in Egypt
1985
Foundation of Salamtex factory for lace as a joint venture between Abdallah Salam and his son Hany Salam in El-Salam city on 8000 m2.
2004
Foundation stone for El- Obour City dyeing factory.
2007
Expansion of Salamtex Lace in El-Obour City starts production
